Mooseheads lead playoff series 3-0 after picking up 4-2 win over Wildcats

Raphael Lavoie continues to shine as he now has 13 goals scored during the playoffs

MONCTON, N.B. - The Halifax Mooseheads are one win away from advancing in the playoffs after defeating the Moncton Wildcats 4-2 Tuesday night.

The Mooseheads got off to a strong start with Xavier Parent scoring on a power play early in the first.

Raphael Lavoie followed up with his 12th goal of the playoffs to make it 2-0 Halifax. Moncton's Jordan Spence cut the Herd's lead in half late in the opening period.

Christian Huntley tied things up for Moncton near the midway point of the third but Brock McLeod quickly responded to give Halifax a 3-2 lead.

Raphael Lavoie iced it for the Mooseheads late in the period to make it a 4-2 final.

Game four is set to go down Wednesday night in Moncton where Halifax has a chance of advancing to the third round with a win.
