HALIFAX - The Halifax Mooseheads put on a dominant performance Friday night against the Saint John Sea Dogs, picking up a 10-2 win.

The Mooseheads dominated the opening frame with Samuel Asselin, Patty Kyte and Jake Ryczek all finding the back of Saint John's net to make it 3-0 after 20 minutes.

The second period was more of the same with Kyte, Arnaud Durandeau, Asselin and Jordan Maher adding to the Herd's lead. Nicholas Deakin-Poot managed to sneak one passed Alex Gravel to put Saint John on the board after two periods.

Jeremie Jacob added another one for the Sea Dogs early in the third period with Benoit Olivier-Groulx responding shortly after to make it 8-2 Halifax.

Antoine Morand and Denis Toner added two more to the Herd's lead to make it a 10-2 final.

The Mooseheads are back in action Saturday when they welcome the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
