MONCTON, N.B. - The Halifax Mooseheads picked up a 5-4 overtime win against the Moncton Wildcats Wednesday night at the Avenir Centre.
Moncton's Adam Capannelli struck first in the opening period, with Antoine Morand, Jake Ryczek and Marcel Barinka scoring three consecutive goals to make it 3-1 Halifax.
The second period saw Jeremy McKenna score back-to-back goals to tie things up for the Wildcats heading into the third period.
Capannelli scored his second of the evening early in the third to make it 4-3 Moncton.
Barinka also scored his second of the night to force overtime where BO Groulx netted the game winner to give Halifax the 5-4 win.
The Mooseheads make their way to Victoriaville on Friday to take on the Tigres.
