Mooseheads defeat Huskies 5-1 to tie President Cup final at 2-2

Halifax scored four unanswered goals to secure a 5-1 victory

HALIFAX - The Halifax Mooseheads picked up a 5-1 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in game four to tie President Cup final at 2-2 Tuesday night.

The Mooseheads got off to a quick start as Benoit Olivier-Groulx scored early to give Halifax a 1-0 lead.

Peter Abbandonato responded a short time later to make it 1-1 heading into the second period.

Samuel Asselin helped Halifax retake the lead early in the second period with Jocktan Chainey following up to make it 3-1 Mooseheads.

Arnaud Durandeau and Max Trepanier iced it for the Mooseheads late in the final period to make it a 5-1 final.

The Herd heads back to Quebec on Thursday for game five.
