Mooseheads come back to defeat Wildcats 5-3

Benoit-Olivier Groulx scored two goals late in the third period to help lead the Herd to victory

HALIFAX - The Halifax Mooseheads came back to defeat the Moncton Wildcats 5-3 on Wednesday night.

Moncton struck first, with Jonathan Aspirot and Jeremy McKenna scoring back-to-back to make it 2-0.

Arnaud Durandeau put the Herd on the board early in the second period with Keith Getson tying things up a short time later.

Jeremy McKenna gave Moncton a brief 3-2 lead shortly after that, but Brock McLeod tied things up at 3-3 heading into the third.

Benoit-Olivier Groulx scored two goals late in the third period to ice it for the Herd and give them a 5-3 win.

On Friday, the Mooseheads welcome the Sea Dogs to the Scotiabank Centre.
