The Halifax Mooseheads have a new name on their roster.

The Herd have acquired 19-year-old forward Maxim Trepanier from the Olympiques along with a fourth round pick in 2020.

The deal will see forward prospect William Dagenais go back to his hometown of Gatineau, along with a first round pick in 2020.

Trepanier is a left winger and has scored a career high 17 goals and 33 points through 29 games this season with the Olympiques.

The Moose also made a trade just before Christmas which saw them get veteran forward Keith Getson from Charlottetown for Jordan Maher and two draft picks.

GM Cam Russell is happy with his latest acquisitions.

“He will be another scoring threat in an already talented lineup. I think with the additions of Trepanier and (Keith) Getson, we have really solidified our forward group,” he said.

Both Trepanier and Getson are expected to be on the ice for the Mooseheads when they play in Charlottetown Friday night.
