Huskies defeat Mooseheads 8-4, extend win streak to 24 straight games

ROUYN-NORANDA, QC. - The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies kept their win streak alive, extending it to 24 straight games as they topped the Halifax Mooseheads 8-4 Saturday night.

Both teams came to play as the first period saw seven total goals between the Huskies and the Herd. 

Samuel Asselin scored twice and Benoit Olivier-Groulx once, while the Huskies' Noah Dobson picked up a pair with Alex Beaucage and Patrik Hrehorcak each adding a tally to make it 4-3 Rouyn-Noranda after 20 minutes.

Jared McIsaac tied things up early in the second period but Samuel Naud and Beaucage responded to make it 6-4 Huskies heading into the final period.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard and William Cyr added two more to the Huskies' lead to make it an 8-4 final.

The Mooseheads continues their Quebec road trip on Sunday when they take on the Val-d'Or Foreurs.
