A woman has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax with life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash late Thursday morning.

Halifax District RCMP say she was the passenger of a car that collided head-on with another vehicle just before 11:30 a.m. on the South Rd. in Middle Musquodoboit.

Three other people in that car, along with two in the second vehicle were checked over by EHS at the scene.

The road is expected to be closed for several hours while a collision analyst investigates.
