A woman faces multiple charges after allegedly biting an RCMP member's hand.

At 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, Halifax District RCMP responded to an unwanted person call to a home on St. Margarets Bay Road.

RCMP say the female suspect broke the window of a door to the home and as members arrived, she was getting into the passenger side of a vehicle parked just outside the home.

RCMP members arrested the woman who resisted by biting a member's hand.

The 38-year-old woman was later released on conditions and faces charges of assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest and mischief.

She is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court next month.
