Three people were taken to hospital after a crash that shut down southbound lanes of Highway 102 between Exits 8 and 9 Monday.

RCMP say a red Dodge pickup truck lost control, rolled over and ended up in a ditch at around 2 p.m. near Lantz.

When emergency crews arrived, the male driver was already out of the vehicle, but two female passengers had to be extracted.

Both women had serious but non-life threatening injuries, and all three were taken to hospital.

The stretch of highway reopened at around 10:30 p.m. and police say they are still investigating the incident.
