Two men face charges after reportedly forcing 19-year-old man into vehicle at gunpoint

HALIFAX -  Two men are facing multiple charges which including forcibly confining a 19-year-old man from China on Thursday night.

At 9:40 p.m., police responded to a weapons call on Hollis Street where they say the victim was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint, held against his will and assaulted by two suspects, also from China.

Police eventually located the suspects and arrested them at gunpoint. They will be held for court.

The victim only had minor injuries and police say he did not require medical treatment. 

A 22-year-old suspect will be charged with forcible confinement, while a 19-year-old suspect will be charged with pointing a firearm, use of a imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, forcible confinement and assault.
