Surprise increase in gas pumps across Nova Scotia

Prices for regular self serve up by 2.8 cents to 101.2

A surprise increase a gasoline pumps across Nova Scotia Friday morning.

The provincial regulator used its weekly adjustment to raise the price for regular self serve by 2.8 cents to 101.2.

Diesel prices are also up with the price for fuel jumping by 1.8 cents to 114.

At this time last year we were paying 1.11 for gas, 1.15 for diesel.

Oil was trading at $56.75 US per barrel, just over $5 more than Thursday's closing price of $51.06 US.
