THE DISCOVERY CENTRE
Believe It or Not!®, it's here! The Discovery Centre is pleased to announce the opening of its newest featured exhibit, The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not!®.
Set to be a spectacular sensation, this exhibit offers visitors to the Centre a science-filled adventure into the extraordinary world of legendary cartoonist, entrepreneur, and explorer, Mr. Robert Ripley.
The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not!® presents a mind-blowing collection of objects and artifacts from Ripley's Believe It or Not!® and showcases the real science behind them, with something of interest to everyone.
For example, younger children will love crawling through a life-size model of a Titanoboa, a pre-historic snake that was longer than a school bus.
Teens will be amazed by unconventional portraiture, including that of Justin Bieber made entirely of candy.
Adults will surely marvel at intricate micro-sculptures so small, they fit inside the eye of a needle.
And no one will be able to resist measuring up against an animatronic model of history’s tallest human, Robert Wadlow, standing 8’ 11” tall.
“The excitement is real”, says Jennifer Punch, Director of Marketing & Sales at the Discovery Centre. “This exhibit is irresistible and educational which is how we knew it would be the perfect fit for families, especially given the upcoming March Break. It’s guaranteed fun for all and does what we do best here at the Centre, inspires a greater understanding of the world around us”.
Other items on display at The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not!® will include the jaw of a megalodon shark, a selection of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!® radio show broadcasts, dinosaur fossils, and a real meteorite from Mars.
"This remarkable, highly interactive exhibit is the perfect opportunity to introduce our brand to an entirely new audience. It's colourful, exciting, bursting with family fun and is very hands-on," said Jim Pattison Jr., President of Ripley Entertainment Inc.
The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not!® is packed with teachings in biology, geology, psychology, archeology, and paleontology, a perfect blend of entertainment and learning. Don’t miss your chance to see it and believe it!
