The search for a 250 year old house continues for a Saint Mary's University professor and his students.
It's been almost 20 years since Jonathan Fowler with SMU first started looking for the house in the Grand Pre area.
During a battle in 1747 - British troops took shelter in the stone house during a snowy battle against a group of French and Indigenous soldiers.
Fowler says the stone house may not have actually been a house at all.
"My guess is that it's not a normal house and that it might have had other functions, possibly for storage," said Fowler. "Possibly to make it fireproof they might have resorted to stone."
As for the location of the current search, that's being kept secret, in part to protect the privacy of the homeowner where the search is happening - and to keep away any unwanted treasure hunters.
