UPDATE: Halifax Regional Municipality says the public meeting Thursday at NSCC has been cancelled. They will reschedule the date sometime in April.

As the Centre Plan continues to move forward, the city is looking for the public's feedback.

A public meeting is taking place Thursday night, aimed at getting input from residents on all things regarding the plan and "Package A".

HRM's program manager of current planning Carl Purvis says the package contains the areas where they are anticipating the most growth.

"We've got four designations in the areas called centres, corridors, future growth nodes and higher-order residential areas," said Purvis. "These are ares like Quinpool Rd., like Wyse Rd., or places that will develop in the future like Shannon Park or potentially Penhorn Mall."

This is the second of six meetings scheduled with the first one having taken place earlier this week.

Purvis says that meeting provided great feedback.
