The Mounties and Halifax police are asking for help identifying a man after a firearm was found in an abandoned backpack.

According to the RCMP, on August 30th at around 3 p.m., a man entered a restaurant on Sackville Dr. in Lower Sackville and left not long after.

He left behind a backpack, and when an employee checked it for contact information, they found the firearm.
