Police investigate two armed robberies

HRP officers are investigating two separate armed robberies overnight of gas stations, and convenience stores

Halifax Regional Police investigating two gas station robberies that happened overnight.

The first took place at the Shell gas station and Needs Convenience store at Robie Street and North Street at 10:15 last night. Police say the suspect used a firearm in the robbery and took cash from the till, but no one was hurt. 

The suspect was last seen heading toward Clifton Street and described as a white man in his 20s, about 6 feet tall wearing \a grey hoodie, a black face mask and black pants. 

The second robbery happened about half an hour later at the Irving gas station on Inglis Street. Police say the suspect told staff he had a gun, and he grabbed some cash from the till, and made off on foot. Nobody was hurt there either.

That suspect is described as being 20 to 30 years old, 5 foot 6, with a black hoodie, black mask and black pants.
