Police investigate gun fire near Uniacke Street

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a report of shots fired Tuesday night downtown Halifax.

Police say two patrol officers reported hearing what they believed to be several gun shots in the area of Uniacke Street at around 10:46 on July 3.

Several additional police units responded to the report that night but did not locate a scene or any evidence of a shooting. 

On July 4, investigators were able to identify the shooting took place around Heron Walk off of Gottingen Street. 

Police say patrol members found two homes with bullet holes and that residents of the homes had confirmed there were no injuries.
