Police investigate early morning armed robbery at Dartmouth hotel

Halifax Regional Police say a man with a knife robbed the DoubleTree Hotel early Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the Wyse Road hotel at 4:39 a.m. where they were told by staff that a man entered the lobby through the front door, went up to the desk, pulled out the knife and demanded cash.

After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect was last seen running towards Windmill Road.

He's described as white, around 5'9" with an athletic build. He was wearing a white Quebec Nordiques ball cap, black hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
