Police hope to identify man after girl's wrist grabbed

Police say the 11-year-old was outside playing with friends in the area of Cambridge and Geldert streets

Halifax Regional Police are asking for public help to identify a man who grabbed a girl's wrist near Conrose Park.

They say the 11-year-old was outside playing with friends in the area of Cambridge and Geldert streets when it happened Wednesday around 5:30 p.m.

When the girl screamed, the man fled toward Jubilee Road.

The man is described as white, in his 30s with grey or white hair. He was wearing jeans, a blue hoodie with the hood up and sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
