In a year when many events have been cancelled, Haligonians can still celebrate the annual tradition of watching Matt Mays rock the Shore Club in Hubbards during a weekend of shows this summer.

However, because of COVID-19, it will be a different experience than in previous years.

Mays and his band will play Thursday, Aug. 27, Friday, Aug. 28, and Saturday, Aug. 29 at 9:30 p.m.

Due to reduced capacity, there will be no individual tickets for the 19+ shows.

Instead, a "very limited number" of full tables will go on sale Friday at noon for each of the three nights.

Six-guest tables are $492, ten-guest tables are $920, which includes tax and fees. Each guest at the table will get a limited edition, signed copy of the screen printed poster.

Those who aren't able to get inside the venue will be able to buy access to a livestream of the Friday and Saturday shows. More information will be available on sonicconcerts.com.

"My favourite thing on this entire earth to do is play the Shore Club," Mays said in a news release. "Those of you who've attended any one of the shows in the last 15 years understands why."

"We're a family that gets to meet only once a year, to sing out the last warm light of summer. It means absolutely everything to me to get to do it again. Especially this year. We deserve it."

More information can be found online.
