Regional police have charged a driver after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Monday.
It happened in the 600 block of Herring Cove Rd. around 7:30 p.m. Police say a 32-year-old woman was walking in a marked crosswalk when she was hit. She was taken to hospital with what police say are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The 39-year-old man driving the vehicle wasn't hurt. He was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and for not carrying valid insurance.
He'll be in court at a later date.
