Man face charges after vehicle driven onto Dartmouth golf course

HALIFAX - A man faces impaired driving charges among others after a vehicle was driven on to Brightwood Golf Course Monday night. 

Police received a call about a vehicle on the golf course just before 9:30 p.m. and when officers arrived they found it had become hung up on an embankment on the 16th hole of the course. 

The 30-year-old driver was taken into custody and will appear in court at a later date to face an impaired driving charge and charges of driving with a blood alcohol over the legal limit and property damage.

Police said the damage to the golf course was confined to a small area on the 16th green.
