Man charged, drugs seized after Wolfville traffic stop

Police say they found crack cocaine and marijuana after pulling over a vehicle going the wrong way down a one-way street

King District RCMP say pulling over a vehicle going the wrong way down a one-way street led to a significant drug seizure in Wolfville last week.

Mounties stopped the vehicle on Linden Avenue at 7:45 p.m. last Thursday.

They say when the driver got out of car, a plastic bag of crack cocaine fell from his clothes.

Police searched the man and his car, and say they found 51 grams of crack cocaine, 226 grams of marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia, a knife, and cash.

Daniel Obiang, 20, of Wolfville has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, he's scheduled to be in Kentville Provincial Court on January 16, 2018.
