Man arrested after robbery at Halifax gas station, say police

A 30-year-old Halifax man was arrested after a robbery at a North End gas station Tuesday night. 

Police say a man entered the Irving gas station before 8:30 p.m., pulled out a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes, then made off with an undisclosed amount. 

A suspect was arrested in the Gottingen St. area at about 8:40 p.m.

He is being held for a court appearance, where he'll answer to a number of charges including robbery.
