Man arrested after one assaulted and two threatened

Halifax Regional Police have a man in custody after a Saturday night assault in Fairview.

Police were called to a Frederick Ave. residence before 11:30 p.m.

They say before they got there a man with a knife assaulted another man. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

When the arrived, officers say they found a man threatening another man and woman with a knife.

The suspect was arrested without incident.

Joshua Mitchell Zinck, 32, of Halifax has been charged with aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, three counts of uttering threats and breach of probation.
