Man arrested after assault with a weapon in Dartmouth

Police say officers located a man with injuries from an "edged weapon" on Pincecrest Dr. at 11:57 p.m. Thursday

One man has been arrested and another taken to hospital after an assault in Dartmouth just before midnight. 

Police say officers located a man with injuries from an "edged weapon" on Pincecrest Dr. at 11:57 p.m. Thursday. 

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

A short time later, officers arrested a man for assault with a weapon. 

Police say the two men know each other.

Tyler Phillip Dewolfe, 31, of Dartmouth has been charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of probation. 

Anyone with information on the incident is being asked to get in touch with police, or to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
