Halifax Regional Police say the lockdown at Halifax West High School was caused by a call from an unknown person saying there would be a shooting at the school.
Police were called to the Clayton Park school on Friday afternoon just before 1 p.m.
Officers and K-9 units searched the school, but found no firearms or any other threats. They lifted the lockdown at around 2 p.m.
Police are still investigating and following up on several leads.
