In advance of Hurricane Dorian's arrival, Halifax Transit buses, Access-A-Buses and ferries will stop running at noon Saturday.

Halifax Regional Municipality says the last ferry to Halifax will leave Dartmouth at 11:30 a.m., and the last ferry to Dartmouth will depart Halifax at 11:45 a.m.

The municipality is hoping the transit system can be back up and running by noon on Sunday, but will issue an update on that morning to confirm.

Because there will be no transit, both Halifax Shopping Centre and Mic Mac Mall say they we be closed all day Saturday.

A full list of closures and cancellations can be found here.
