It's still August, but there's a sign summer is coming to an end.

Halifax Mooseheads training camp gets underway on Thursday.

The club has announced the 51-player training camp roster, featuring established stars like Raphael Lavoie and Jared McIsaac as well as Cameron Whynot, the young defenceman aquired this week in exchange for Xavier Parent.

Camp begins Thursday with arrival and registration. The players will heat the ice on Friday for a pair of Intra-squad games at the RBC Centre.

The preseason gets underway on Sunday, as the Moose welcome the Cape Breton Eagles to the Dartmouth Sportsplex.
