A Halifax man is scheduled to appear in court Friday to face several child pornography charges.
Halifax Regional Police started their investigation Tuesday after getting information that a man was communicating with a woman who lives in another province about creating child pornography.
The Internet Child Exploitation unit searched an address on Caxton Close in Clayton Park and police say they seized several electronic devices for forensic analysis.
Shortly after, Julien Dugas, 36, of Halifax was arrested at another address.
He's been charged with possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, making arrangements for a sexual offence against a child (sexual assault) and making sexually explicit material available to a child (images).
In Nova Scotia, it is mandatory to report suspected child pornography.
