HALIFAX - Snow, freezing rain and rain are all expected in the Halifax-area over the next 24 hours.
The snow is expected to begin Wednesday afternoon in Halifax and bring about five centimetres before it changes to freezing rain.
The precipitation will eventually change to rain and a rainfall warning has been issued advising of possible heavy downpours.
In their warning, Environment Canada expects rain to be heavy at times with roughly 30 millimetres expected before it ends sometime Wednesday night.
Drivers are asked to beware of water pooling on the roads and residents are advised that localized flooding is also possible.
