A Go Fund Me page has been set up for the family of a man who died this week at Drysdale Falls in Tatamagouche.

According to details on the fundraiser page, 38 year old Sam London, a firefighter with Halifax Fire, was at the falls with his family on Tuesday when his son became stuck in a whirlpool

London jumped in to save his son, and was successful, but was then swept under himself by the currents, and drowned.

As of Thursday morning the page had raised over $13,000 for the family.
