Gas prices increase slightly in Nova Scotia, but diesel takes huge jump

A small increase in the price for gasoline across Nova Scotia this morning.

Regulated prices climbing by 1.2 cents at midnight, moving the minimum price for gas up to 99.1.

The big news is in the price for diesel as fuel prices spiked by an even seven cents to 117.5.

Twelve months ago drivers were paying 1.14 for gas, 1.22 for diesel.

Oil was selling at $63.32 us per barrel, just over 10 dollars more than Thursday's closing price of $52.74.
