Haligonians could see a significant jump at the pump on Firday morning.

Our newsroom is predicting that when the UARB adjusts prices at midnight they will rise by about five cents per litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices tells NEWS 95.7 supply numbers are dropping as refineries begin their switchover from diesel to gasoline.

"You've got about 85 per cent refiner capacity which is well down, it was up around 94 per cent when we had prices that were moderate, moreso than what they are right now," explained Murphy.

In New Brunswick prices climbed by 4.3 cents to 111.6.
