The downward trend in the price for gasoline is expected to continue this week.

Our newsroom is predicting that when regulated prices are adjusted at midnight, they will fall by about a penny per litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices told NEWS 95.7 he believes recent decisions from Donald Trump are having an impact on oil prices.

"The president is being so in-and-out on issues that he's showing instability on the market place when they're actually looking for leadership here," explained Murphy.

Across the border in New Brunswick regulated prices declined by 1.4 cents to a new maximum price of 108.8.
