Gas prices drop more than expected in N.S.

The Utility and Review Board used its weekly price adjustment to lower the price to a new minimum price of $1.22.2/L.

HALIFAX - Nova Scotia drivers will notice a larger than expected drop in the price of gasoline on Friday morning. 

The Utility and Review Board used its weekly price adjustment to lower the price for regular self-serve by 4.2 cents per litre to a new minimum price of $1.22.2/L. 

Diesel prices are also down Friday morning by a half-cent to a new minimum price of $1.26.6/L. 

One year ago, drivers were paying $1.23/L for gasoline and $1.06/L for diesel, while oil was just under $20 less than Thursday's closing price of $68.75 US per barrel.
