Five people face several charges after police search two Dartmouth homes

Police received a tip that there were firearms inside residences on Canso Lane and Chebucto Lane

Halifax Regional Police say three men and two woman are facing several firearms charges after officers executed search warrants at two Dartmouth homes Monday.

Police received a tip that there were guns inside residences on Canso Lane and Chebucto Lane.

Investigators say they found several firearms, ammunition and some marijuana inside the Chebucto Lane home. Two men and one woman were arrested inside the residence.

Tyvon Gerrard Ritcey, 19, is facing multiple firearms charges, along with four counts of breaching a court order and one count each of uttering threats, assault and possession of marijuana. 

Shiquawn Downey, 20, faces multiple firearms charges and two counts of breaching a court order. 

Pamela Lynn Ritcey, 43, also faces multiple firearms charges. 

Police also say they found firearms and ammunition in the Canso Lane home. A woman was arrested at the scene and a man turned himself into police headquarters later.

Tanya Lea Cross, 36, and Jeffrey Rozee, 42, are also facing multiple firearms-related charges.

All five are scheduled to be in Dartmouth Provincial Court Tuesday.
