Expect street closures and parking bans in some peninsula neighbourhoods as Dorian clean-up continues

Prohibited parking signage will be in place where necessary and vehicles will be towed if they are impeding the work

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY

The Halifax Regional Municipality is imposing targeted street restrictions in peninsular Halifax over the coming days.

This work will begin on Thursday, Sept. 12 and will continue until the work is completed.

The restrictions range from street closures to parking bans. Refer to the information below for specific details.

The restrictions are necessary to facilitate tree removal operations in the area.

The restrictions affect the following streets:

  • 1675 Oxford -Traffic control only
  • 6217 Pepperell - Closed to all but local traffic, no parking from Vernon to Preston
  • 6154 Oakland - No parking from Beaufort to Belleview
  • 6151 Oakland - No parking from Beaufort to Belleview
  • Regina at Beaufort - Traffic control only
  • 926 Marlborough - Closed to all but local traffic, no parking from Roxton to Inglis
  • 916 to 922 Ivanhoe - Closed to all but local traffic, no parking from Lindola to Atlantic
  • 851 and 817 Tower - Traffic control only
  • 5921 Rogers Dr - No parking from Bower to the end of Rogers Drive
  • 619 Tower - Traffic control only
  • 570, 807 and 871 Young - Closed to all but local traffic, no parking from Atlantic to Harbourview Drive
  • 5747 Point Pleasant (in front and opposite) - No parking between Tower and Young
  • 5274 Glebe - No Parking from Mont Blanc Terr. to Barrington
  • 1736 Chestnut St. -Closed to all but local traffic, no parking from Cedar to Jubilee
  • 977 Young - Northbound traffic closed to all but local, no parking Inglis to Atlantic

Prohibited parking signage will be in place where necessary and vehicles will be towed if they are impeding the work of tree-removal crews.

Traffic control personnel will be on site wherever necessary.

The municipality apologizes for the short notice and any inconvenience this work may cause.
