Halifax Regional Police say Kennedy Drive between Roleika Drive to Booth Street has reopened.

The stretch had been shut down earlier in the day while emergency crews responded to an underground natural gas leak.

Heritage Gas says repairs have been completed and as of 2:30 p.m. they were in the process of restoring service to one affected customer.
