A 28-year-old Halifax man is facing fraud charges in what police are calling a parking spot rental scam.

A woman called Halifax Regional Police in September after responding to a Kijiji ad.

She says she e-transferred $450 to rent a parking spot at 5296 Kent Street, then was told by the property owner that she wasn't allowed to park there.

Officers received three more complaints and say in each case, the money had been transferred to the same email address.

Police are also looking for a second suspect in the investigation.
