The Canada 150 Trail and Lookout at Shannon Park opens for the season on Friday.

Offering views of the Halifax Harbour, the approximately 1.2 kilometre walking trail will be open to the public daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. until October 31st.

The parking lot is located at 70 Iroquois Drive, right across from Shannon Park Elementary School.

From the parking lot, walk to the gate across Iroquois Drive and through the pedestrian entrance.

The trail starts out paved, then turns into a crusher dust-loop which leads to and from a boardwalk where both bridges are visible.
