Health and Wellness Minister Michelle Thompson and Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia's chief medical officer of health, will provide a COVID-19 update today, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m.

The province is currently scheduled to enter Phase 5 tomorrow. Last week, Strang said this would mean masking, physical distancing and gathering limit protocols would be lifted.

Nova Scotia has announced 66 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, 61 of which are in the Northern Zone, where there is a 'large cluster of linked cases in a defined group' of mostly unvaccinated people.

There are also signs of community spread in the Central Zone among young unvaccinated adults, aged 20 to 40, who are participating in social activities.
