Public health officials in New Brunswick report two new COVID-19 cases

FREDERICTON — Public health officials in New Brunswick are reporting two new cases of COVID-19 today.

The new cases involve a person in their 20s in the Bathurst region and someone in their 50s in the Fredericton area.

Both cases are travel-related and the infected people are self-isolating.

Health officials say the Fredericton case is linked to a previously reported case.

There have been 188 COVID-19 cases reported in New Brunswick, 178 of which are considered recovered.

New Brunswick has reported a total of two deaths linked to the novel coronavirus, and there are eight active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
