New Brunswick reports new case of COVID-19 in resident visiting Quebec

FREDERICTON — New Brunswick is reporting one new case of COVID-19. Public health officials say the individual who contracted the virus is a resident of the provincial health zone that includes the Edmundston region.

FREDERICTON — New Brunswick is reporting one new case of COVID-19.

Public health officials say the individual who contracted the virus is a resident of the provincial health zone that includes the Edmundston region.

Officials say the person was staying in Quebec before the onset of symptoms, was tested in that province and will remain there until they have recovered.

There have been 193 confirmed cases of the infection in New Brunswick and 188 people have recovered.

Two people have died from the disease in the province, and there are three active cases.

To date, 65,169 tests have been conducted.
