FREDERICTON — A man who had been reported missing in Fredericton two weeks ago, has been identified as the victim of a homicide near the city.

Police say on Aug. 10, information from the public led RCMP to the discovery of human remains in a wooded area off Route 10 in Noonan, east of Fredericton.

An autopsy was conducted and the victim was identified as 19-year-old Corey Daniel Sisson of Fredericton.

Police say his death is considered an isolated incident and there is no risk to the general public.

Anyone with information on the Sisson's death is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
