Health officials in New Brunswick report five new cases of COVID-19

FREDERICTON — Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting five new cases of COVID-19 today. Three cases are in the Edmundston area while the Saint John and Bathurst regions each have one case.

FREDERICTON — Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting five new cases of COVID-19 today.

Three cases are in the Edmundston area while the Saint John and Bathurst regions each have one case.  

The Edmundston region remains at the "red" pandemic-alert level while the rest of the province is at the lower, "orange" level. 

Officials say New Brunswick has 156 active reported infections. 

Six patients are in hospital with the disease, including two in intensive care.

New Brunswick has reported a total of 1,382 infections and 22 deaths linked to the virus.
