Adopt Me: Sweet Princess needs an understanding home

Due to her medical conditions Princess is in the shelter's palliative care program

HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

There is nothing sweeter than this girl, Princess. If you are looking for a friendly and easy-going girl, you have found her. She lived with cats and does well with other dogs that interact well with her.

Due to her temperament we feel that she will be suitable in a home with children 10 years of age and older.

Princess has a condition that causes her to loose muscle mass in her head as well as TMJ ( TMJ disorders - a type of temporomandibular disorder or TMD - can cause pain in your jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement.)

Due to these conditions Princess is in our palliative care program. At this time she is looking to have her food softened or have canned dog food to help with her TMJ.

Princess does not let this stop her at all! She has a fair amount of energy and loves to play around the yard.

She is believed to be a Greyhound/Amstaff mix.

Princess is available for adoption from the Dartmouth SPCA. For more information please contact us at 468-7877 Option 6 for more information or click here.
