Adopt Me: Ophelia recently had one leg amputated

She's a smart girl and has adapted quickly to three-legged life

HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Ophelia is a shy but sweet girl who likes her personal space. Having recently had her leg amputated, she needs time to gain confidence and trust with people. She's smart and has adapted quickly to three-legged life though.

She loves lounging in her comfy chair and taking quick strolls around the house to monitor the goings on of the humans. She also loves to be pet, but on her terms.

Ophelia is looking for a forever home that will be both patient and loving with her.

Ophelia is available for adoption from the Dartmouth SPCA. Please contact us at 468-7877 Option 6 for more information or at

Unable to adopt? Share this feature on social media so each animal can get the exposure it needs and find a loving home.
