HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Arnie

We know all eyes are on Arnie when he's out for a walk! This handsome guy is a one-year-old Mastiff/Setter Mix and is seeking his forever home.

Arnie would be prefer a home with older children (16 and up) and NO other animals as he is still young and learning his manners.

The best home for Arnie would be one with previous dog/large breed experience that can continue positive training in the home. He is a very smart and silly boy who needs a family that is active and able to keep him busy. As you can see in his photo, Arnie is keen on fetch and would love to continue to run for a tennis ball long after your arm has grown tired of throwing for him!

Staff are currently working with Arnie to walk on a halti, making walks much more enjoyable! He's been doing great so far.

Since this is a new experience for him, if you are interested in meeting Arnie and considering adoption, staff will take you to hang out with him in our side yard. This gives you the chance to hang out and really get to know him!

Arnie is available to meet serious adopters at the Dartmouth SPCA. Please contact us at 468-7877 Option 6 for more information or visit our website.
